It is very important to improve an assimilating capacity because the world climate is dangerously changed day-by-day because of the uncontrolled waste we produce in our day-to-day activities. This uncontrolled waste can affect our environmental ecosystem that results in global warming, natural disasters, tsunamis, damage in the ozone layer and many other natural collapses which occur frequently in the recent year. If we continuously produce this waste in an uncontrolled way and without considering the impact on the environmental ecosystem, the environment will become unable to live very soon. Technology for improving air degradation
There are several technology are available like Incinerators, Gravitational setting chambers, Cyclone separators, Fabric filters, Bio-filters. We can use them to prevent the emission of polluted air in the open atmosphere which is produced by the mill, factories, industries and vehicles. The increasing number of vehicles are become a major headache now a days because it produce huge amount of CO2 in atmosphere. In this case, the term eco-friendly vehicles are getting more popular.
This technology was first introduced by Elon Reeve Musk when he brought totally a new model of electronic car named Tesla in 2008. Through this technology we can significantly able to reduce air degradation.
Technology for improving water degradation
Water is very essential for every animal but we are polluted water every day by dumping human and industrial waste into the water. We can use some technology for preventing water pollution like Coagulation, Membrane process, Adsorption, Dialysis, Foam flotation, Osmosis, Photo catalytic degradation and Biological methods. Besides this technology, the consciousness of every people is very important at this perspective.
Consciousness like we are not dumping any toxic or chemical or plastic material into the water that can negatively affect the natural water cycle. Clearing program of river, ocean, drain and water reservoir are operating continuously. Polices and laws are enforcing strictly so that the industries are not dumping their chemical waste into the water. Through this technology and increasing social awareness we can be able to reduce our water degradation problem as well as improving assimilative capacity of water.
Technology for improving soil degradation
Uses of plastic or synthetic products or materials are mainly responsible for soil degradation because soil cannot easily decompose those materials, sometime it may take thousands of years. A plastic eating bacteria, named Ideonella Sakaiensis was discovered by the Japanese researchers in 2016 which is tremendous success in science because these bacteria can decompose plastic within four to six weeks. Besides plastic like uncontrolled use of insecticide, artificial fertilizer, polyethylene is also responsible for soil degradation. For improving this situation we can use the newly innovated eco-friendly substitution of those products. Like we can use light trap for reducing harmful insect instead of chemical insecticide. We can use bio-compost fertilizer instead of artificial or chemical fertilizer. We can use jute bag that soil can easily decompose instead of using polyethylene. We can plant more trees for preventing soil erosion. By using these technology and methodology we can easily reduce the soil degradation, improving the soil quality and improving the assimilative capacity of soil.
Besides those technologies we can also use three methods for improving assimilative capacity these are Reduce, Re-use and Re-cycle.
- Reduce: growing consciousness about environment among general people and encourage them to obey the environment regulatory act and be aware of producing uncontrolled waste and using the pollution control technology for reducing the waste.
- Re-use: we can easily re-use our waste by establishing waste based power plant that is already use in many country. We can get a pure electronic energy through this plant by reusing our human and industrial waste.
- Re-cycle: we can also improve assimilative capacity by using metallic product frequently through the recycling process. That is we can use the product frequently not throwing the product after the first use. For an example, we can use a drinking water bottle as a flowerpot after drinking the water.
From the above discussion we can realize that the role of technology for improving assimilative capacity is very significant and we can improve assimilative capacity by using that technology properly.
